How many sessions will I need?

The answer really depends on what it is we are working on. Stopping Smoking can be one 2-hour session (you will be given a CD to listen to at home).  Other issues may need between 3 - 6 sessions spread over a number of weeks or months depending on the issue, some might take longer.

It works best if we concentrate on one issue at a time.  Sometimes clients come for one thing, e.g. weight reduction but then find that they are really comfort eating so we deal with the underlying beliefs and emotions rather than the over eating.

Depending on what the problem or issue is, you will be asked for your doctors details as I will contact them to check details of any medication and other health issues you tell me about. This is particularly important if you are on medication for high blood pressure, depression or stress as your medication will require monitoring as changes may happen as you change the way you feel.

 

Is hypnosis and hypnotherapy always successful?

Hypnotherapy will be successful for most people. There is a small percentage of the population who find, for various reasons, it is not for them. Like any therapy, it is not for everyone.  If that is the case then we can use other therapies such as coaching, NLP or cognitive behaviour therapy. As we take one session at a time you are free to stop whenever you wish.
