Brain Working Recursive Therapy - BWRT®

You maybe wondering what BWRT® is?  BWRT® stands for ‘BrainWorking Recursive Therapy®’, a model of psychology and psychotherapy created by UK professional therapist, Terence Watts, MCGI.

Like many other modern therapies, it allows a ‘core of privacy’ so that you do not have to divulge anything you would rather not talk about. In many cases, the practitioner only needs to know how you feel and how you would prefer to feel instead.

BWRT® is a completely new and different therapy based on the latest discoveries about the way the brain works and how it affects our moods, behaviour and emotions. Only Certified Practitioners have been trained to deliver BWRT® and all have to adhere to a strict ethical code. Find out more at https://www.bwrt.org

Since training in BWRT® I've worked with numerous clients using it to help with many issues including: fears, anxieties, long-standing trauma, recovering from abusive relationships to grief and loss.

The therapy can be conducted over video call, such as Zoom, What'sApp or phone. So a lack of confidence, feelings of awkwardness or tight schedules need not be an obstacle to helping you improve your life. You can work from your home or office wherever you are in the world.

In a session, you are guided to use your own thoughts - I don't need to know what those specific thoughts are - to create a totally natural change that comes from within you rather than from something I might suggest or do.

All the work is done in a completely ‘awake state’ - it’s completely logical, practical and down-to-earth, and all it needs to be successful is for you, the client, to want something different in your life.

I've used BWRT to help clients who have experienced traumatic events such as abusive relationships, rape or attack, gone through messy divorce, to school exam nerves and fear of needles.

Client Testimonial

CM came for help to overcome his fear of speaking at meetings at work and making a mess of things.  After BWRT sessions he sent me this:

Hi Anne, Just thought I'd let you know my session today with our CEO went really well. I was a little apprehensive at first but once I got into it it felt natural and went really well. I got positive feedback on the session and feel great now it's done in that it's a bit of a buzz! Thank you.

More about BWRT. It explains how Terence developed it and a bit about the brain (ignore the reference to the BBRS)
